Master Crafts of Kutch
Preserving Generations of Craft
Hansaben leads a collective of eighteen Rabari women in Bhujodi, stitching the mirror and chain work their grandmothers carried across the Rann. Drought and migration have thinned the villages that once sustained this craft, and much of the work now travels through middlemen who pay by the piece.
We commission directly from the collective, agree prices with the women before work begins, and name every maker on the piece she made — so the craft stays in Kutch, and so does the income.
